FRCN FM Stations to Get New Equipment.

FM stations of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Northeast Zonal Station, are to benefit from brand new equipment that will boost their transmission capacity to disseminate the right information to Nigerians.
The FRCN Director Engineering Services, Engineer Sanda Askira made this known while addressing participants at a training organised by the Northeast Zone Engineering Sub-Directorate held at the NUJ Secretariat in Bauchi.
Engineer Askira who said the equipment include a 10kilowatts transmitter for Globe FM Bauchi, under the Federal Government intervention and two, 5kilowatts Transmitters, two and 40KVA Power Generating Sets as well as other gadgets were secured through a partnership with the North East Development Commission, NEDC.
While restating commitment of the Director General of the corporation to reposition FRCN, Engineer Askira assured that installation would commence by September this year.
In a Keynote address, the FRCN North East Zonal Director, Alhaji Yahaya Abdullahi Maikano challenged Engineering Staff of the zone to be up and doing to safeguard all existing equipment and those to be provided for their stations to comepete favourably with others.
Alhaji Yahaya Maikano who emphasized the importance of engineering services in Radio stations, called on the participants to be proactive and concentrate fully so as to offer their own best in the field.
In a good will message, the General Manager Radio Nigeria Globe FM Bauchi Mohammed Aminu Abdullahi who spoke on behalf of other General Managers in the zone expressed appreciation to the Director General FRCN, Dr. Mansur Liman for his exemplary leadership and pledged to judiciously utilize the equipment in line with the mandate of Radio Nigeria – of “Uplifting the People and Uniting the Nation”.
The Northeast Zonal Station is situated in Bauchi controlling, Globe FM Bauchi, Jewel FM Gombe, Fombina FM Yola, Peace FM Maiduguri, Sunshine FM Poteskum and Gift FM Jalingo.
