Ghost Workers: Ministry of Youth and Sports Reverifies Staff.

Bauchi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development has reintroduced physical verification exercise for the staff of the ministry and Sports Council.
The weeklong exercise was aimed at sanitizing nominal and payroll, discouraging absenteeism and ensuring staff productivity inline with the policies of the present administration.
Speaking at the inauguration of the exercise at the state Secretariat, the Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development Alh Adamu Manu Soro expressed determination towards complimenting efforts of Governor Bala Mohammed to ensure civil servants are earning legitimate salaries.
Adamu Manu explained that he decided to re-embark on the verification to ensure what he left in the ministry before his reappointment has been not compromised.
” As you all know before we were dissolved as Commissioners and members of the state executive council, we conducted similar exercise that is why we have to do same to ensure what we left has not been tempered with”.
While calling on the staff to cooperate with the officials by providing of relevant information and documents throughout the process, the Commissioner noted that after finishing with staff of the ministry they would move to Sports Council before completion.
“We are starting from the ministry here in Abubakar Umar Secretariat and after that, the team of the screening officials would visit the state Sports Council for continuation, we therefore called for maximum support and cooperation to enable us achieve the desired objective”.
He also assured that no innocent worker will not be victimized.
