The Gombe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency, GoHealth, said it will hold a statewide training exercise on the second cohort Basic Healthcare Provision Fund, as beneficiaries begin to receive their GoHealth ID cards.
The Gohealth Head of Operations, Dr. Gideon Maspara who made this known said, the training session is aimed at sharing the latest upgrade to the GoHealth ICT framework, as well as appraising the performance of each facility and recommending a way forward.
He explained that Go health has engaged Facility Managers, Ward Development Committee (WDCs) Chairpersons, Desk Officers on GoHealth, including Ante Natal Care, ANC, and Out Patient Departments, and OPD charges.
The head of operations added that the state-wide training will be held in all local government areas across the state. This comes as GoHealth has embarked on an upgrade of its processes compared to the previous year.
Dr. Gideon Maspara at the State Level training of trainers, further revealed that some of the innovations include automation of referral procedures, online collation, and submission of beneficiary encounter data, as well as free will for beneficiaries to move their service to another facility where they are not satisfied. Furthermore, each health facility will be required to set up a 24/7 desk office, that will attend to GoHealth beneficiaries at any given time.
