Gombe State Chapter, of the All Progressive Congress APC, has commended former Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwanbo, for his peaceful conduct when he returned to the state last Saturday.
The State Publicity Secretary of Gombe APC, Ambassador Moses Kyari, made the commendation at a Press Conference held at the party Secretariat Gombe.
Gombe APC described the People’s Democratic Party PDP, Chieftain and former Governor Ibrahim Dankwanbo, as peace-loving and a leader worthy of emulation.
The Publicity Secretary disclosed that the former Governor was last Saturday received by thousands of his supporters during his first visit to the state since he left office about three years ago.
The APC, Spokesman equally, confirmed that the party hinged its applause on the fact that as intimidating as the crowd that trooped out to receive him last Saturday, no breach of the peace was either noted or recorded.
Ambassador Moses Kyari, maintained that, Gombe APC, was satisfied with the peaceful conduct of Dankwanbo during and after the mini-rally to welcome him back, explaining that, Dankwanbo left office on May 29, 2019, and since then stayed from Gombe for almost three years until the last Saturday when he arrived at the Gombe International Airport and proceeded to the PDP Secretariat along with his supporters and other party Chieftains peacefully without disturbing the public peace in the state.
The Party Spokesperson further explained that Gombe APC applauded Dankwanbo for his display of rare peace and calmness, unlike his predecessor, Senator Danjuma Goje who visited the state with thugs and breached the public peace.
While describing Ibrahim Dankwanbo as a peace-loving personality just like Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the party appreciates the maturity and understanding of the incumbent Governor for postponing a state function around the PDP Secretariat last Saturday to avoid any political supporters clash that may arise.
