Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Gombe State Command says, it has deployed over 600 personnel to provide security across the State, before, during, and after the Easter celebration.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Gombe state Civil Defense Public Relations Officer, DSC Buhari Saad.
According to the statement, the Commandant of corps in the state, CC Baba Goni Waziri have put in place robust security arrangement and crime prevention strategies as directed by the Commandant General, CG Ahmed Abubakar Audi, to ensure crime-free Easter festivities in the State.
State Commandant, CC Waziri Baba Goni therefore, appealed to members of the general public to be moderate in their celebration saying personnel will display a high sense of vigor and professionalism while discharging their duties.
He assured members of the public that NSCDC will be polite and civil but firm in ensuring the security of lives and properties.
Commandant Baba Goni also called on the members security-conscious to be security conscious and provide useful information to the NSCDC and other security agencies.
The statement added that the Commandant on behalf of the entire Officers and Men of NSCDC in Gombe State rejoices and facilitates with all Christians as they celebrate Easter.
