Gombe State Government Expresses Readiness To Partner with the Nigerian Army To Maintain Peace In The State.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State says his administration would continue to work in synergy with the Nigerian Army and other sisters security agencies to maintain peace in the state.
The Governor made this known when he received the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruq Yahaya, who paid him a courtesy at the Government House, Gombe.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya, applauded the key role of the Nigerian Armed Forces in peace building across the geo-political Zones of the Country.
The Governor stressed the need for a symbiotic relation between Gombe State and the Nigeria Army to further promote peace and Security in the state.
According to him, the presence of Army in the state would go a long way to compliment the efforts of the government and the people in order to ensure peace and harmony as well as security and safety within the state.
Earlier, the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruq Yahaya, explained that, he was in the state, in furtherance of his operational visit and assessment tour of formations and units of the Nigerian Army across the country.
The Army boss, lauded the efforts of Gombe State Government, for it’s proactiveness and commitment in maintaining the peace in a zone that is bedevilled by security challenges.
Lieutenant General Faruq Yahaya, thanked governor Inuwa Yahaya, for not only appropriating a large portion of land for the construction of the permanent site of the 301 Artillery Brigade Barracks, but also providing water to the new Army Base in Gombe.
The Chief of Army Staff, noted that, the Nigerian Army, is determined to end all forms of criminality in the country, calling on the people to partner with the Armed Forces towards achieving the goals.
