Gombe State Government pledges to end water scarcity in Dukku/ Nafada LGAs.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State says his administration would prioritize Dukku and Nafada local government areas in the execution of some projects especially those that have to do with the provision of potable water.
The Governor made this known at the empowerment program facilitated by a House of Representatives member representing Dukku/Nafada Federal Constituency of Gombe State, Aishatu Jibrin, held in Dukku town.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya assured his administration’s commitment to addressing the lingering issue of water scarcity in Dukku local government area.
While commissioning an ongoing rehabilitation of all boreholes from Gombe-Abba River into Dukku town, the Governor promised to dredge all the water Dams in the area, because of their age-long challenges of portable water.
The Governor commended the effort of Aishatu Jibrin Dukku, for initiating women empowerment programs, saying that, the gesture would go a long way in alleviating the problems faced by women in the home front considering their position as homemakers and nation builders.
Earlier, a House of Representatives member, representing Dukku/Nafadah Federal Constituency of Gombe State in the National Assembly, Aishatu Jibrin, lauded governor Inuwa Yahaya’s administration for executing many projects in the Constituency, especially those that were aimed at uplifting the educational standard of girls.
She equally, applauded the governor for creating an enabling environment for women in the state to make meaningful contributions to the governance of the state.
