Gombe State Government set To Employ 3000 Youths.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state, says his administration has created an unemployment registration portal for graduates where it registered over twenty thousand job seekers, comprising seven thousand University graduates and thirteen thousand NCE and National Diploma holders in the state.

The Governor made this known at the Combined Convocation ceremony and Award of Fellowship of the Federal College of Education technical, Gombe.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya, explained that, in the last few months his administration has succeeded in engaging about Five thousand of these unemployed youths through ARC-P-project, confirming that, his Government intended to engage another Three thousand youths through various human capital development initiatives before the end of this year.

The Governor assured that, his administration has commenced the construction of works at the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre, Boltongo, where the state government is planning to employ about Two Thousand youths into the Gombe State Traffic and Environmental Corps.

Governor Yahaya noted that, his Government is laying the foundation for a sustainable economic growth and job Creation with the establishment of the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park at Dadin-Kowa, and the Agricultural Entrepreneurship Development Agency, at Garin Tafida as well as revitalization of Wawa-Zange Grazing Reserve.

According to him, the Convocation ceremony marks an important milestone, not only in the history of the College but also of education in Gombe State and Nigeria in general.

Earlier, the Provost Federal College of Education Gombe, Dr.
Ali Adamu, maintained that, the College was purposely established to produce competent technical and vocational teachers, with sound and moral academic acumen for optimal and better performance in primary and secondary schools in the country.

Highlight of the occasion, was the presentation of fellowship Award to Three important personalities which includes, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, Minister of Communication and Digital Economy Prof. Isa Ali Pantami, as well as Emir of Gombe Alh. Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, respectively.
