Gov. Bala Mohammed Donates Operational Vehicles to Vigilant Group, Charges Them to Secure Communities

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has donated ten operational motorcycles to volunteer security operatives in Duguri District of Alkaleri Local Government Area.

He Also pledged to be personally assisting them with monthly stipends to enhance their operations.

The Governor made the commitment in continuation of the working visit where he is engaging with stakeholders in Alkaleri Local Government Area.

Presenting the vehicles at the palace of District Head of Duguri, Governor Bala Mohammed said the move was to encourage them on their sacrifice towards securing lives and properties of the local communities.

According to him Duguri borders with three states of Plateau, Gombe and Taraba hence the need to intensfy patrol along the borderline to address potential security threats.

He charged them to always work in synergy with Divisional Police Office and other conventional security officers in the area to avoid bridge of law and other.

Governor Bala Mohammed while granting audience to ward heads, community and religious leaders, appreciated their contributions in the sustenance of peace through proper guidance of their subjects.

The Governor therefore warned them against using their positions to cause farmers herders conflict through sale or illegal allocation of land in their respective areas.
