Gov. Bala Mohammed Pledges Provision of Infrastructure in Alkaleri Communities.

Bauchi State Government has unveiled plans for provision of electricity and potable water at Gwana District of Alkaleri Local Government to enhance the socioeconomic activities in the area.

Also, the state government has pledged to sustain facilitation for the timely construction of over ninety killometres Futuk Road as earlier promised by federal government.

Governor Bala Mohammed who made these known while interacting with community leaders from the District assured that the water will be made available in six months time.

Bala Mohammed said provision of the infrastructure and other basic amenities because imperative considering the economic potential especially with the recent oil discovery in the area.

According to him, arrengments have reached advanced stage for establishment of technical and vocational school in Alkaleri headquarters for training of youth in various skills programmes to enhance their productivity.

While challenging the representative of the state at the National Assembly to live up to their responsibilities through attracting intervention projects from federal government, the Governor expressed concern that bardens were only left to the state government.

Speaking on behalf of the community leaders, the District Head of Gwana Yakubu Sani expressed appreciation for the Governor’s commitment towards improving quality of the lives.
