Gov. Buni Condemns Geidam attack, Calls for more support, prayers

Yobe state Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni has condemned the terrorists on Geidam and called for more prayers for lasting peace in the state and country.

A statement signed by the Director-General Press and Media Affairs, to Yobe Governor, Mamman Mohammed, said Governor Buni described the attack as heinous, especially in this holy month of Ramadan when the faithful seeking the mercy of Allah against engaging in obnoxious acts.

He commended security agencies for their resilience assuring more synergy between government and the security agencies to curb crime in the state.

Governor Buni urged the people to always volunteer useful and timely information to security operatives to enhance proactive measures.

“We should also use the opportunity provided by the holy month of Ramadan to pray for our state and country,” Buni said.

Buni assured the commitment of his administration towards enduring peace, security and development across the state.

The Governor commiserated with the victims of the attack assuring government support.
