Gov Inuwa swears in 17 commissioners, 12 perm-secs, Head of service.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has sworn in a new Head of Civil Service, Seventeen Commissioners, and Twelve Permanent Secretaries to strengthen government activities at various Ministries, Departments, Agencies, and Parastatals.

Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony, the Governor charged the newly appointed Commissioners and Permanent Secretaries to put the interest of Gombe State at the forefront of every decision they make and remain guided by the principles of accountability, fairness, equity, and justice.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya reminded them that his administration has zero tolerance for corruption and incompetence, saying that, as members of the state executive council and leaders in the civil service, they are expected to be diligent in discharging their duties and to be prudent in the management of the scarce resources that would be placed at their disposal.

The newly sworn-in Commissioners includes Abdulkadir Muhammed Waziri who was appointed as Commissioner for Local Government and Community Development, Adamu Inuwa Pantami-Youth and Sports Development, Barrister Zubairu Muhammad Umar Attorney General/ Commissioner of Justice, Abdullahi Bappa Garkuwa Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr.Ashatu Maigari -Education, Dr. Barnabas Malle- Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative, Dr. Habu Dahiru- Health, Dr. Usman Maijamaa Kallamu-Works, Housing, Transport, Asma’u Iganus Women Affairs, Lt. Col. Abdullahi Bello – Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mijinyawa Ardo Tilde – Information and Culture.

Others are Muhammed Shetima Gadam-Higher Education, Muhammed Gambo Magaji, -Finance, Muhammad Saidu Fawu Water, Environment and Forest Resources, Narisu Aliyu Trade, Industry and Tourism, Salihu Baba Alkali Budget and Economic Planning, and Sanusi Ahmed Pindiga Energy and Mineral Resources.

The Governor also said the new permanent secretaries are Muhammad Ibrahim Jalo from Akko LGA, Adamu Kala Muhammad Akko LGA, Ibrahim Yakubu Balanga Salamatu Ishaya Billiri, Abubakar Adamu Dukku, and Abdulkadir Adamu Gombe.

Others are Abubakar Babayo Hassan Gombe, Ahmed Mohammed Gombe, Muhammed Cantata Kaltungo, Abubakar Bello Mallam Sidi Kwami, Shuaibu Ibrahim Shongom and Muhammad Isma’il Hinna Yamaltu Deba.
