Governor Inuwa Host Government Officials, Security operatives To Celebrate Nigeria At 62, Gombe At 26th.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has reaffirmed his conviction that despite passing through thick and thin in its over six decades journey, Nigeria has attained greatness in many facets of human endeavors and the citizens have every reason to celebrate this auspicious moment.

The Governor made this known when he hosted government officials, heads of security agencies, politicians, and the business community to an anniversary gala night in commemoration of Nigeria 62, Independence Day, and the 26th Anniversary since the creation of Gombe State.

While speaking at the event, which was held at the Banquet Hall of the Government House Gombe, the Governor maintained that twenty-six years after the creation of Gombe State it today outshines many of its peers created together in October 1996.

He, therefore, attributed the current Gombe State developmental status to the commitment of all the past and the present crop of leaders who served in both military and Democratic positions.

Speaking at the occasion, Gombe State Commissioner of Police, CP, Ishola Babaita, who spoke on behalf of heads of security operatives in the state, lauded the Governor for showing patriotism in organizing the anniversary events to mark both Nigeria @62 and Gombe @26th, Days.

While commending the Governor for his commitment to peace and security in Gombe State, CP, Ishola, thanked him for his constant support for the security agencies to facilitate their smooth operation in the state.

The event has in attendance, Deputy Governor Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau, Speaker of Gombe State House of Assembly Abubakar Muhammad Luggerewo, and Chief Judge, Justice Joseph Awak, among others.

The highlight of the event was the cutting of the anniversary cake made in Green White Green and colorful entertainment with several cultural groups performing to the delight of the audience.
