Governor Uba Sani flaggs off distribution of palliative.

Kaduna state government has flagg off distribution of the fourty three thousand bags of 50kg rice procured as palliative to various local government areas of the state .
The State governor, Senator Uba Sani announced this in an interview with newsmen shortly after inspecting the distribution of rice at a warehouse in Kaduna.
Senator Uba Sani explained that,
210,000 poor and vulnerable households would benefit from the rice as well as People with disabilities, IDPs, widows among others in the first phase of three-phase Palliatives Distribution Plan for the State.
The governor commended the Palliatives Committee led by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe for handling the assignment with commitment and dedication.
According to him, the Palliatives Committee was made up of top officials of NLC, TUC and other members of the Organized Labour, Religious and Traditional leaders, Civil Society Organizations, Persons with Disabilities, Local Government Chairmen, Youth and Women Groups.
He pointed out that, adequate security arrangements are in place to ensure uninterrupted delivery of the palliatives to the distribution points and eventual transportation to the various Local governments.
The Commissioner of Police and Director, DSS are leading the coordination of security for palliatives distribution.
He also said Monitoring Teams for the Local governments have also been constituted with membership drawn from Members of the Organized Labour, Faith Based and Development Associations, Traditional Institutions, Persons with Disabilities, Members of the State House of Assembly, Local Government Chairmen, and members of the KDSG Palliatives Distribution Committee.
Governor Uba Sani also called on the good people of Kaduna State to give their maximum support and cooperation to the Palliatives Distribution Committee to ensure a hitch-free exercise.
He warned that the full weight of the law will be on anyone who attempts to divert the palliatives meantime for the people or tries to disrupt the exercise.
In an interview with newsmen, the chairman of NLC in Kaduna State, Comrade Sulaiman Ayuba pledged to ensure that the targeted people benefited from the rice distribution.
