Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna has charged the nineteen newly sworn – in permanent secretaries to approach their new responsibilities with integrity, fairness and commitment.
He stated this while delivering his speech after the Permanent Secretaries had taking the oath of office at government house Kaduna.
Governor Sani told the permanent secretaries that, advancing the welfare of the citizens of Kaduna State must be their primary focus, saying that “people are watching us”
“We must not give them any reason to doubt or question our commitment. We shall give you the support you need to succeed in your new assignments. We however expect total loyalty and dedication”
He pointed out that, all the Permanent Secretaries had experienced, skills and competences required to ensure effective implementation of his government policies and programmes.
According to him, the permanent secretaries have a major role to play in ensuring that the policies and programmes of his administration are effectively implemented and that of citizens benefit
Malam Uba Sani congratulated them on their appointments and urge them to celebrate less and reflect more.
The Governor urged family members, friends and well – wishers to support the Permanent Secretaries with prayers and encouragement. Please don’t pile undue pressure on them for patronage.
“Don’t push them to do something that will force us to have a rethink about them. We shall not tolerate indiscipline and corruption. I wish you God’s guidance. God bless you all”
The Nineteen permanent secretaries were deployed to various Ministries to discharge their duty.
