Nigerians have been charged to imbibe the Culture of Conserving Birds ,Aimed at Enhancing more flow of Birds that Migrated from different parts of the world to Nigeria.

The Coordinator of Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) in Northern Nigeria Mohammad Boyi stated this during an sensitization training for students of Secondary schools in Kano held at Government Girls Arabic College Goron Dutse Kano.

He said the objectives of the workshop was to Enlightened the students the importance of birds in human life.

Boyi noted that the event was in commemoration of World Migratory Bird Day 2021.

He said the workshop will Acquaint participants with the requisite knowledge of the importance of birds in the Environmental development and Human life .

“We’ve Conducted Similar projects in Yobe, sokoto, Abuja and Lagos states, which was geared at enlightening the public the importance of birds in human life”

The Coordinator appealed to the public to desist from hunting the migrated birds aimed at conserving the historic trend of birds migration form other continents to Africa and Nigeria.

In a remark the Kano state Commissioner for Education Alhaji Mohammad Sanusi Kiru, Represented by the Director Educational Support of the Ministry Alhaji Hashim Mohammad Tukur Aplauded the Foresight of the Association in Enlightening students the importance of conserving birds and depositing from hunting the species of birds .

Sadiq Ahamd from Government secondary School Sabuwar Kofa and Aisha madaki from Kano capital School were Among the Participants of the Training,they said the training has boost their Capacity on the importance of birds to the environment and human life.

During the workshop competition was organized for ten Secondary Schools that Participated in the training.

The workshop themed “Sing, Fly, Soar like a Bird” was attended by students from.different schools in the metropolis.
