Gombe State House of Assembly has passed into law the bill on Amendment of the state and local government Audit laws 2021 in line with the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and other matters.
The passage of the bill into law, followed the presentation of a report, by the Chairman House Committee on Public Account, Nimrod Malum Yari, before the House.
While calling on the state House of Assembly to adopt all the amendments recommended by the committee, the chairman also commended the members for their hard work and dedication toward the successful scrutiny of the documents referred before it.
In a related development, the house has sworn in Barrister Hauwa Abdullahi, as the new Deputy Clerk to the Gombe State House of Assembly.
Speaking shortly after, taking the oath of office, administered by Barrister Baba Didi, the new clerk commended the state governor, Alhaji Mohammad Inuwa Yahaya, and the management of Gombe State House of Assembly, for finding her worthy of the appointment, pledging to contribute her quota for successful legislation.
