The Federal Government has reiterated its dedication to providing essential healthcare services to Nigerians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This assurance was given by the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Mohammed Ali Pate, at a capacity-building workshop organised by the Nigeria Health Sector Renewal Investment Initiative (NHSR II) in collaboration with the Yobe State Ministry of Health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Represented by his Technical Assistant, Dr. Ashiru Abubakar, the Minister emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts in achieving better health outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He noted that the Federal Government is committed to improving the country’s health system through initiatives like NHSR II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his remarks, the Yobe State Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Mohammed Lawan Gana, stated that the workshop aims to strengthen the health system and improve planning capacity in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He acknowledged that previous health sector reforms have not yielded significant success, prompting the introduction of NHSR II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While declaring the workshop open, the Commissioner emphasised that the initiative is part of the Federal Government’s efforts to comprehensively improve the country’s health system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, the State Coordinator, Sector-Wide Approach (SWAp), Dr. Babagana Abba, explained that the training focuses on Nigeria Health Sector Renewal Investment Initiative and the sector-wide approach to prepare leaders for addressing national and sub-national health priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Abba pointed out that the workshop is expected to equip health managers and programme leaders with essential skills to develop and implement effective health programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
