{"id":2648,"date":"2025-09-07T07:18:50","date_gmt":"2025-09-07T07:18:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radionigerianortheast.gov.ng\/?p=2648"},"modified":"2025-09-07T07:18:55","modified_gmt":"2025-09-07T07:18:55","slug":"governor-zulum-visits-families-of-63-borno-residents-killed-by-boko-haram","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radionigerianortheast.gov.ng\/?p=2648","title":{"rendered":"Governor Zulum Visits Families of 63 Borno Residents Killed by Boko Haram"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Chiroma Ali Ibrahim<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Governor Babagana Zulum has called for the immediate deployment of newly trained Forest Guards to complement the military in safeguarding vulnerable communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The governor made the call during a visit to Darajamal, a recently resettled community in Bama Local Government Area of the state, to commiserate with residents over insurgency attacks that claimed the lives of fifty-eight civilians and five soldiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Governor stated that the numerical strength of the military is not enough to cover the whole state; hence, he urged the deployment of Forest Guards to the most vulnerable locations to protect communities still facing threats of insecurity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Governor Zulum condemned the brutal attacks and expressed grief over the incidents, which, according to him, happened when the state is witnessing a gradual return of peace. He condoled with the bereaved families and community leaders over the unfortunate attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan, representing Borno Central, the constituency in which Darajamal is located, has also condemned the attack, describing it as a crime against humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He expressed his commitment to supporting Governor Babagana Umara Zulum through legislative backing to restore peace in Borno State.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Chiroma Ali Ibrahim Governor Babagana Zulum has called for the immediate deployment of newly trained Forest Guards to complement the military in safeguarding vulnerable communities.
