{"id":27,"date":"2025-01-02T10:19:17","date_gmt":"2025-01-02T10:19:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radionigerianortheast.gov.ng\/?p=27"},"modified":"2025-01-02T10:19:20","modified_gmt":"2025-01-02T10:19:20","slug":"yobe-police-command-reports-successful-prosecution-of-454-criminal-cases-in-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radionigerianortheast.gov.ng\/?p=27","title":{"rendered":"Yobe Police Command Reports Successful Prosecution of 454 Criminal Cases in 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Abdulaziz Mala <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Yobe State Command of the Nigerian Police Force has reported the successful investigation and prosecution of 454 criminal cases in the state in the Year 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to a statement issued by the command\u2019s Public Relations Officer, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, 116 other criminal cases and 17 unnatural offences are currently under investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The command noted a significant decrease in armed robbery, kidnapping, and homicide during the period under review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A reduction was also reported in minor crimes, such as theft, burglary, cheating, and farmer-herder conflicts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furthermore, the command reported a decline in sexually related offences, which was attributed to its strategies for protecting women and children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DSP Abdulkarim expressed satisfaction with the police&#8217;s success in maintaining law and order throughout the state in 2024, stating that the command is committed to building on these achievements in the coming year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statement added that the State Commissioner of Police, Garba Ahmed, commended the public for their cooperation with the police and urged them to continue their support.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Abdulaziz Mala The Yobe State Command of the Nigerian Police Force has reported the successful investigation and prosecution of 454 criminal cases in the state in the Year 2024.
