{"id":270,"date":"2025-01-20T13:30:18","date_gmt":"2025-01-20T13:30:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radionigerianortheast.gov.ng\/?p=270"},"modified":"2025-01-20T13:30:23","modified_gmt":"2025-01-20T13:30:23","slug":"ksafe-donates-over-1000-textbooks-to-vulnerable-children-in-kano","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radionigerianortheast.gov.ng\/?p=270","title":{"rendered":"KSAFE Donates Over 1,000 Textbooks to Vulnerable Children in Kano"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Khadijah Aliyu<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an effort to support education for vulnerable groups, the Kano State Accountability Forum on Education (KSAFE) has donated over 1,000 textbooks to orphans and vulnerable children in the State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The donation, which took place at the Murtala Muhammad Library, is an annual programme aimed at promoting education among vulnerable children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Co-Chair of KSAFE, Dr Auwalu Halilu, emphasised the importance of education in breaking the cycle of poverty and improving the future prospects of vulnerable children, saying \u201cEducation is a right that every child deserves.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He highlighted that the initiative is part of KSAFE\u2019s efforts towards ensuring that education remains accessible to all children, regardless of their background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe forum considered various factors, including economic status and overall need, to ensure that the textbooks reached those who needed them most,\u201d Dr Halilu explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also called on Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and community leaders to support education initiatives, complementing the state government\u2019s efforts to enhance the education sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The donation received positive feedback from the community, with many expressing gratitude and support for initiatives aimed at uplifting the less privileged and underserved communities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Khadijah Aliyu In an effort to support education for vulnerable groups, the Kano State Accountability Forum on Education (KSAFE) has donated over 1,000 textbooks to orphans and vulnerable children in the State.
