Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has presented a budget proposal of N515.58 billion for the 2026 fiscal year to the State House of Assembly. <\/p>\n

The budget, tagged “Budget of Economic Growth and Infrastructural Transformation,” aims to complete ongoing projects and initiate new ones to accelerate the state’s development.<\/p>\n

Governor Buni highlighted key areas of focus, including infrastructure, agriculture, education, health, and rural electrification.<\/p>\n

The budget breakdown includes: Recurrent Expenditure N192.13 billion (37.3%), Capital Expenditure: N323.46 billion (62.7%)<\/p>\n

Governor Buni emphasized his administration’s commitment to improving healthcare, citing plans to build a new General Hospital in Potiskum and establish a Renal Dialysis Centre in Gashua.<\/p>\n

He also highlighted investments in agriculture, education, and infrastructure, including solar street lighting and rural electrification.<\/p>\n
