The Yobe State Government has directed the immediate closure of all boarding secondary schools in the state as a proactive measure to safeguard students.<\/p>\n
This decision follows a security meeting between Governor Mai Mala Buni and security chiefs in the state, reviewing recent security incidents in schools across the country.<\/p>\n
According to a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Dr Bukar Aji Bukar, the closure is effective immediately, pending improvement in the security situation.<\/p>\n
Governor Buni has called on the people of Yobe State to pray for the leadership, security operatives, and improved security in the country.<\/p>\n
