Adamawa State government has sought deeper collaboration with the United Nations office for Humanitarian Affairs aimed at promoting peace, stability and inclusive development. <\/p>\n
The Deputy Governor of Adamawa state, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta sought the collaboration during a courtesy visit by a delegation from the United Nations office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs led by its head in Nigeria, Mr Trond Jensen at the government house, Yola.<\/p>\n
The Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta explained that as the global humanitarian system undergoes a major reset, the engagement provided an important platform for aligning priorities, improving coordination, and ensuring that assistance reaches those who needed it most.<\/p>\n
According to her, Adamawa State Government remains fully committed to transparent cooperation, joint planning, and a stronger humanitarian development nexus that delivers sustainable impact for the people.<\/p>\n
The Head of United Nations office for Humanitarian Affairs Office in Nigeria, Mr Trond Jensen expressed confidence in working with the government of Adamawa State, humanitarian partners that can turn things around to help vulnerable people.<\/p>\n
