The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Print Media, Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, has described the growing wave of defections to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a clear indication that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu\u2019s administration is on the right path and enjoying broad national acceptance.<\/p>\n
Abdulaziz stated this while addressing hundreds of APC supporters at a party gathering in Fagge Kano.<\/p>\n
He said the President\u2019s inclusive leadership style has continued to attract politicians across party lines and geopolitical zones. According to him, the trend reflects confidence in the policies and direction of the Tinubu-led federal government.<\/p>\n
Abduaziz noted that governors from the South-South geopolitical zone have largely aligned with the APC, while the party has also recorded significant strength in the South-East, expressing optimism that more political leaders would soon join the ruling party. \u201cThere is no party in Nigeria today that symbolizes unity like the APC,\u201d Abdulaziz declared, stressing that the party\u2019s national outlook remains unmatched.<\/p>\n
The presidential aide dismissed the relevance of the newly formed coalition seeking to challenge the ruling party, saying its inability to attract any sitting governor underscores its lack of structure and political direction. \u201cUp till today, no serving governor has joined them. That is a sign they are going nowhere,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Highlighting economic interventions of the Tinubu administration, Abdulaziz said ongoing road and rail projects across the country are stimulating growth and wealth creation. He cited compensation paid to communities affected by infrastructure development, noting that beneficiaries were adequately compensated, thereby improving livelihoods and boosting local economies.<\/p>\n
He further explained that several policy \u201cloopholes\u201d inherited by the administration had been blocked through decisive reforms. Using the introduction of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as an example, Abdulaziz described it as a form of subsidy in production rather than consumption, aimed at reducing transportation costs and promoting a more sustainable economic lifestyle for Nigerians.<\/p>\n
Abdulaziz also referenced the ongoing construction of the Sokoto\u2013Badagry dual carriageway, describing it as a strategic national project capable of boosting trade, reducing logistics costs and creating wealth. <\/p>\n
He expressed hope that the private sector would complement government efforts by reducing prices of goods to ease the burden on citizens.<\/p>\n
According to him, tangible improvements are being felt across the country, with many Nigerians beginning to \u201csmile again\u201d as the dividends of democracy gradually manifest. He stressed that the President\u2019s reforms, innovations and policies were designed to ensure long-term economic stability and shared prosperity.<\/p>\n
He added that massive road construction projects are currently underway in several northern states, including Kano, Niger and Katsina, while railway development continues uninterrupted as part of efforts to modernize transportation and enhance national integration.<\/p>\n
Abdulaziz described these initiatives as evidence of President Tinubu\u2019s tireless commitment to national development, arguing that the administration deserves continuity. \u201cWith these achievements, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserves a second chance to continue the good work he has started,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
