The Commissioner of Police, Borno State Command, CP Naziru Abdulmajid, on behalf of officers and men of the Command, heartily felicitates with Muslim Ummah in Borno State and beyond on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n
The message was contained in a press release signed by the commands Public Relations Officer ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, who made it available to newsmen on Monday 17th of February 2026.<\/p>\n
The statement said Commissioner of Police describes Ramadan as a sacred period of devotion, sacrifice, self discipline, and compassion, urging the faithful to use the opportunity to pray for enduring peace, unity, and prosperity in Borno State and the nation at large.<\/p>\n
The statement calls on residents to continue to support security agencies with credible and timely information, remain law abiding, and embrace the spirit of tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and mutual respect throughout the fasting period.<\/p>\n
The Command has put in place adequate security measures across the State to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Ramadan. Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Commanders have been directed to intensify patrols, particularly around mosques, prayer grounds, markets, and other public places.<\/p>\n
The statement reassures members of the public of the Command\u2019s unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property and wishes all Muslim faithful a peaceful, rewarding, and spiritually fulfilling Ramadan.<\/p>\n
