Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board, ADSUBEB, says the state is making steady progress in addressing poor literacy and numeracy among school children through a strategic collaboration with EIDU, an international education technology organisation.<\/p>\n
Chairman of ADSUBEB, Murtala Babayi, in an interview in Yola, said the partnership is already yielding positive results, with structured and measurable improvements in foundational learning across participating schools.<\/p>\n
He mentioned that the programme, introduced seven months ago by the Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri led administration in partnership with EIDU is currently being implemented in 36 public primary schools across Yola North and Yola South Local Government Areas, reaching over 13,000 pupils.<\/p>\n
Babayi further said the programme is also supporting 450 teachers, head teachers, and school supervisors with modern teaching tools and improved classroom methods.<\/p>\n
ADSUBEB Chairman says the EIDU approach is already improving lesson delivery and strengthening foundational learning across participating schools.<\/p>\n
He noted that the programme aligns with the education priorities of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, whose administration continues to invest in basic education through infrastructure, funding, and teacher professional development.<\/p>\n
Babayi noted that with additional support from development partners, including the World Bank, digital tools have also been distributed to thousands of teachers across the state.<\/p>\n
According to the ADSUBEB Boss the collaboration with EIDU is helping to build a more responsive, technology-driven education system aimed at improving learning outcomes for children.<\/p>\n
Teachers from benefiting schools, Mrs Bilkisu Umar and Abdulhamid Mohammad, emphasized that the intervention has significantly improved pupils\u2019 literacy and numeracy, making lessons more engaging while also enhancing their teaching methods through the use of digital tools and structured lesson guides.<\/p>\n
At the centre of the programme is EIDU\u2019s digital learning system, which provides step by step lesson guidance, real time classroom support and data to track pupils\u2019 progress, helping teachers adjust their approach and improve results.<\/p>\n
The core objective of the programme is to ensure that every child acquires basic reading and numeracy skills at the right age, using well structured teaching methods and technology to support teachers in the classroom.<\/p>\n
The system is designed to simplify lesson delivery, provide continuous feedback, and ensure that no child is left behind.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
