Yobe State Head of Civil Service, Abdullahi Musa Shehu, says the conduct and organization of the ongoing promotional examination for civil servants in the state is highly commendable.<\/p>\n
The Head of Service, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Public Service Office, Hamidu Isah Babih, stated this while briefing newsmen shortly after inspecting the examination venue in Damaturu.<\/p>\n
He explained that he sampled candidates from the Directorate Cadre, Grade Levels 13 and 14, as well as Levels 7 to 12, and expressed satisfaction with the arrangements and the standard of questions set by the College of Administrative and Technical Studies.<\/p>\n
According to him, the examination questions comprehensively covered relevant areas and reflected the need for civil servants to continuously improve their knowledge and professional capacity.<\/p>\n
Abdullahi Musa Shehu, advised civil servants to embrace continuous learning, describing the civil service as a career that requires constant study, self-development, and on-the-job training throughout the years of service.<\/p>\n
He noted that civil servants must always be prepared to discharge their responsibilities effectively and to respond confidently to professional challenges.<\/p>\n
The Head of Service further commended both the institution responsible for setting the examination and the candidates for their peaceful conduct during the exercise.<\/p>\n
He disclosed that approximately three thousand candidates are participating in the promotional examination across the state.<\/p>\n
Shehu explained that, under the leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni, the examination centres were decentralized, with candidates from Zone A writing in Damaturu, Zone B in Potiskum, and Zone C in Gashua.<\/p>\n
He added that the arrangement was designed to reduce transportation costs and bring the examination centres closer to candidates for convenience and effective service delivery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
