A non-governmental organization Sharing education for learning and life SELL has called for the inclusion of women in leadership roles to drive national development.<\/p>\n
The organization\u2019s Project Manager, Mr. Beji Jibe, made the appeal during the opening ceremony of a one-day training workshop for young girls on mentoring and leadership skills.<\/p>\n
Mr. Jibe stated that the era of excluding women from decision-making is over, emphasizing that women are often the ones who directly bear the impact of crises related to the economy, education, and other societal challenges.<\/p>\n
He further noted that society would achieve more if platforms were created in communities to ensure that women\u2019s voices are heard.<\/p>\n
Mr. Jibe added that Mentoring remains a core activity of the organization, which seeks to empower youth and women to become productive members of society and revealed that the organization has established a committee addressing gender-based violence, drug abuse, education, and inheritance rights. This move aims to curb traditional practices that deprive women of their inheritance.<\/p>\n
Some of the Participants, Daniel Favor and Divine Akachukwu, commended the organization for its efforts and promised to pass on the knowledge they gained.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
