District Heads in Bauchi State have been requested to monitor activities of Healthcare Facilities in their domains to ensure effective services delivery from the grassroots level in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Emir of Dass Alhaji Uthman Bilyaminu Othman gave the charge during the end of the 2024 Bauchi State Emirates Council Committee on Health meeting with District Heads on routine immunisation, zero dose and other health services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alhaji Uthman Bilyaminu Othman who is also the Chairman of the Committee outlined some areas the District Heads to closely monitor include, active participation on resolving immunisation non compliance, all primary healthcare activities as well as support immunisation teams to ensure all eligible children are fully immunised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a remark, the state Executive Secretary Primary Healthcare Board Dr. Rilwanu Muhammad said the last quarter of the year review meeting is aimed at engaging traditional leaders to contribute their quoters towards healthcare services delivery in the State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr Rilwanu Muhammad who
also noted the meeting focused more attention on how to improve antenatal care services, fight against rabies’ bite, cerebrospinal meningitis, closed the gaps of zero dose in immunisation and responding to outbreaks of diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He assured that the State government is planning to launch malaria and other vaccines before the end of the year hence the need for people of the state to adhere to personal hygiene as the hot season is approaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On his part, the World Health Organisation WHO Health Education Officer Bauchi office Dr. Yarima Ushishi attributed their success to the commitment of the traditional leaders in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr Ushishi said WHO would continue to work closely with the traditional leaders to achieve the desired objectives.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
