{"id":939,"date":"2025-03-04T16:23:43","date_gmt":"2025-03-04T16:23:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radionigerianortheast.gov.ng\/?p=939"},"modified":"2025-03-04T16:23:48","modified_gmt":"2025-03-04T16:23:48","slug":"kano-state-government-constitutes-white-paper-drafting-committee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radionigerianortheast.gov.ng\/?p=939","title":{"rendered":"Kano State Government Constitutes White Paper Drafting Committee"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Abdullahi Jalalludeen <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Kano State Government has established a White Paper Drafting Committee to review the recommendations made by the Commission of Inquiry regarding the incidents of violence, destruction, and loss of life that occurred in August last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chairing the inaugural session, Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Alhaji Umar Farouq Ibrahim emphasized the committee&#8217;s task of examining the report and providing further recommendations to prevent future occurrences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He described the events as a &#8220;bitter experience&#8221; that had significant economic and human costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The six-member committee, chaired by Alhaji Dan Asabe Yahaya, comprises experts from various ministries and departments. Other members include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Alhaji Aliyu Yakubu Garo: Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Hadi Bala: Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Barrister Salisu Marmara: Ministry of Justice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mallam Yahaya Umar: Director, Planning, Research, and Statistics, Kano State Pension Fund Trustee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jamilu Usman: Assistant Secretary II, REPA Directorate, SSG&#8217;s Office<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The committee has assured the government of its commitment to diligently reviewing the report and providing recommendations to prevent similar incidents in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Abdullahi Jalalludeen The Kano State Government has established a White Paper Drafting Committee to review the recommendations made by the Commission of Inquiry regarding the incidents of violence, destruction, and loss of life that occurred in August last year.
