The Jigawa State PDP gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Mustapha Sule Lamido has vowed to declare state of emergency on unemployment among the teeming youths in the state.
He stated this at the presentation of flags to party candidates on in Dutse, the state capital.
According to him, if elected he will address the issue of unemployment bedeviling Jigawa youth.
He said, unity of the state will equally be among his priorities while the annual flooding ravaging the state will be a thing of the past.
Mustapha Sule Lamido added that, health and education will also receive high priority if elected.
The event was attended by members of the PDP from across the 27 local government of the state.
Radio Nigeria reports that, the state Chairman of All Progressive Congress APC Alhaji Aminu Sani has expressed dismay over the destruction of APC bill board by PDP supporters in the state capital.
He alleged that some PDP supporters have destroyed almost all bill boards of APC at various locations in the capital.
According to him, the destruction has violated the peace accord signed recently by leadership of political parties at Nigeria police headquarters in Dutse.
Alhaji Aminu Sani said, the party has reported the matter to the security agencies.
He therefore urged the party supporters to remain calm and warned against retaliation.
