Kaduna state government has confirmed the death of 34 people including 2 military personnel following Sunday’s attack in Kaura local government area of the state.
This is contained in a statement signed by the State Commissioner ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs Samuel Aruwan.
The statement explain that seven people were injured during the attack and are receiving treatment.
According to the statement, over 200 houses and 32 shops were burnt and 3 vehicles and 17 motorcycles were vandalized.
The statement further reiterate that, Governor Nasir El-Rufai has express his grief and condole with the families who lost their love ones and pray for the repose of their souls and wish those injured a quick recovery.
The Governor also condole with the military High Command and the families of the military personnel who paid the supreme price in the line of duty during the attack.
The statement assured that, the state government is working with security agencies to restore normalcy to the area.
The statement enjoined all residents to carefully observe the 24 hour curfew in force to stem the tide of violence in the area.
