Kaduna Government and NDA resolves dispute stalled completion of Rabbah road extension

Kaduna State Government and the Nigerian Defence Academy NDA have resolved one year old dispute that has stalled the completion of 9.65 kilometers of road connecting Rabah road to Rigasa train station and Kaduna International Airport
The State Governor, Malam Uba Sani made this known while speaking with newsmen when he led some Senior government officials on an inspection of the road, which passes through the Ribadu Campus of the Nigerian Defence Academy NDA, to the Nnamdi Azikwe expressway and link to Rigasa train station .
Governor Sani who was received by the NDA Commandant, Major-General John Ochai, said the Rabbah road construction project is one of the most important of the roads being constructed under the Urban Renewal Project of the State Government.
“This is one of the most important roads in our Urban Renewal Programme started by the previous administration. But, unfortunately when we came on board, we realized that, there was a dispute here between the Kaduna state Government and Nigerian Defence Academy. But today, I am happy to inform you that, we have resolved all the problems.
“This road is very important to us because it links Rabbah Road with the Train Station and the Kaduna International Airport, passing through NDA up to Rigasa and the Airport. For almost one year now, this project was abandoned, but today you can see the contractors CCECC are here and the work has commenced.
According to Governor Uba Sani, the road when completed it will help to revitalize the economy of the people that live around the area and the people who lived within the local government areas.
Speaking with newsmen, the Commandant of NDA Kaduna , Major General Ochai assured the Governor of the Academy’s cooperation and promised to provide security for the contractors and their workers in the course of implementing the road project.
