Kano Hisbah Board Denies Arresting Youths For Same Sex Marriage.

Kano state hisbah board has debunked rumours circulating that it had arrested seventy eight young men and women engaged in same sex marriage at white house restaurant, Nasarawa GRA Kano.
Commander General of the State Hisbah Board, Sheikh Dr. Harun Muhammad Ibn Sina denied the rumour to newsmen at Board’s headquarters, Sharada in Kano.
He however explained that the Board had succeeded in apprehending forty seven adults and thirty one under age girls engaged in illicit acts, after a tip off by good samaritans. He stated that the young men and women were arrested for using drugs in preparations for the birthday party.
Sheikh Ibn Sina who described youths as leaders of tomorrow, and charged parents and guardians to be more vigilant in view of the high level of moral decadence in the society.
He said the Board had commenced investigation and would invite parents and guardians of those arrested for necessary action.
Some of those arrested who spoke to Radio Nigeria, UmmiMusa, Khadijah Bashir and Sakina pleaded for leniency and promised not to engage in such acts.
