Katagum emirate seek collaboration with the Bauchi State House of Assembly .

The Emir of Katagum in Bauchi State Dr. Umar Faruq the second has expressed a desire for a stronger and sustained collaboration with the state house of Assembly.

The traditional ruler made this known when he received state lawmakers led by the Speaker Abubakar Y. Suleiman on a thank you visit on the title of Mai Fadar Katagum conferred to Bello Mu’azu Shira in his palace.

Dr. Umar Faruq admonished the state lawmakers to work together in peace and harmony and put the interest of the state at heart for the speedy transformation of the state.

He also advised members of the State ninth Assembly to consider each other in any decision making processes irrespective of political affiliation for the growth and development of the state.

The monarch commended the working synergy between the executive and the legislature as well as the way legislative processes ever being conducted irrespective of religious and political differences urged them to maintain the spirit.

Ealier, the speaker Abubakar Sulaiman who commended the emir for supporting them used the forum to thank the Emirate for honouring one of them Bello Muazu Shira with the Traditional title of Mai Fadan Katagum. 

Abubakar Sulaiman described the appointment of Bello Mu’azu Shira as deserving considering his track record and contributions to the Katagum emirate.
