The Kebbi State Government is set to establish a Commission for Persons with Disability in the state.
The State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Yakubu Ahmed-BK, disclosed this while briefing Journalists shortly after the State Executive Council meeting.
The commissioner said the commission, if established, would be saddled with the responsibility of issues related to persons with Disability saying, a Bill seeing for the establishment of the commission would soon be sent to the State House of Assembly.
He said, SEC meeting presided over by the state governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, have deliberated and arrived at a position on issues that includes establishment of persons with Disability Commission, RIGATA Cultural Festival as well traditional rulers allowances.
The Commissioner appealed to all and sundry to rally round the present administration to pave way for more dividends of democracy in their respective domains.
He solicited for the support and cooperation of people to government policies and programmes to enable the government achieve the desired goals and objectives.
