The Vice President professor Yemi Osinbajo has described the late premier of Northern Nigeria Sir Ahmadu Bello the Sardauna of Sokoto as an icon who rendered selfless service for the unity and well being of the Nation.
Professor Yemi osinbajo stated this during the Sir Ahmadu Bello memorial Foundation 2022 Annual memorial leadership and Good Governance lecture held at Government House Kano.
He said the late premier of Northern Nigeria Sir Ahmadu Bello the Sardauna of Sokoto has worked hard during his life time in inculcating discipline , love of one another among the northerners and the country at large irrespective of religious and ethnic differences.
He recalled with Nostalgia the love for girl the child education exhibited the late premier of Sir Ahmadu , stressing that there was no aspect of human development that the late premier had not played significant impact on.
Professor Yemi osinbajo charged Nigerians to emulate the life style of the late Sir Ahmadu Bello with the aim bridging the Gap in the aspect of leadership and good governance.
In a remark Governor Abdullahi umar Ganduje of kano described the late Sardauna of sokoto as a leader who laid a solid foundation in education, agriculture,health and social development of the Northern Nigeria.
He noted that History would never forget his immense contributions and selfless service towards building a peaceful and united Nigeria.
In their separate remarks His Eminence the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Sa’as Abubakar and the Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado bayero prayed for enhanced security of lives and properties in all parts of the Nation.
Earlier the Chairman Board of Trustees Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna Foundation former Governor of Niger State Alhaji Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu urged leaders of today to copy the style of leadership exhibited by the late premier of Northern Nigeria Late Alhaji Sir Ahmadu Bello the Sardauna of Sokoto.
Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu Appealed to leaders at all levels to Expedite Action in bringing an end to the lingering security challenges affecting every sector of development in Nigeria.
During the event a paper was presented by the Guest Speaker his royal highness the Emir of Lafia Justice Sidi Bage.
Among the dignitaries that graced the occasion includes Governor Simon Lalong of plateau state, Minister Ali Isa Pantami ,Emirs of Gaya, Karaye, Director General of FRCN Dr Mansur Liman other captains of Government Agencies and the public.
