Military and other security agencies chart a new course to end insurgency, other crimes in Borno.

The military and other security agencies have promised to strengthen existing synergy to end the menace of insurgency and other sundry crimes in the north east region. 

This came to the fore when the Theatre Commander Operation Hadin Kai Major General Christopher Musa hosted heads of security agencies in Borno state.

The maiden high compact security meeting was aimed at bringing all security stakeholders to address emerging security situation, the ongoing surrendering of Boko Haram insurgents, deradicalization process and increasing rate of criminality in the state. 

Radio Nigeria gathered that the meeting resolved to boost the security level within Maiduguri Metropolitan Council and environs to prevent any form of security breach during the yuletide.

Those present at the meeting include the Deputy Theatre Commander Major General Ibrahim Jallo, Acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division Brigadier General Abdul Wahab Eyitayo, Principal staff officers from the Theatre, Commissioner of Police, Director DSS and heads of other law enforcement agencies as well leadership of Civilian JTF, Vigilante and Hunters.
