MNJTF strengthen synergy with Operation Hadin Kai to defeat insurgency.

The Multinational Joint Taskforce MNJTF is to strengthen collaboration with the Theatre Command Operation Hadin Kai to free the Lake Chad Basin and the Northeast region from the menace of terrorism and insurgency. 

Force Commander MNJTF, Major General Abdul Khalifa Ibrahim made this known during a visit to the headquarters Operation Hadin Kai, Maimalari Cantonment Maiduguri. 

The Force Commander Major General Abdul Khalifa Ibrahim is on an operational visit to the Theatre to chart a way forward towards restoring peace in the entire region. 

Major General Ibrahim said it is important to visit the Theatre after touring all the Sectors under the Joint Taskforce and interacted with Commanders on the field. 

He explained the meeting will provide opportunity to further discuss operational challenges and have better synergy in the counter insurgency and counter terrorism operation. 

“Why I am here today is to come and meet with headquarters Operation Hadin Kai and to formally inform this Operation that I have taken over as the Force Commander Multinational Joint Taskforce and i feel is important for the work ahead that I should come here and interact with the Command to chart a course forward he added “.

The Force Commander commended the Theatre Commander for stabilizing the entire northeast and called for more operational support to restore normalcy in order to enable displaced persons return to their communities.

Theater Commander Operation Hadin Kai Major General Christopher Musa described the Lake Chad region as strategic to the wellbeing of Nigeria and other neighbouring countries. 

He stressed that once peace is restored in the region, economic activities will be reinvigorated. 

“We here are putting everything possible to ensure that the Northeast remain peaceful and once the Lake Chad region is held on the strength and movements are checkmate am sure we will be able to defeat the insurgency, General Musa stressed “.

Major General Christopher Musa charged troops in the theatre to be more committed and resilient to ensure that sustainable peace is achieved.
