MUKADDAS ADAMAWA STRIPPED OFF TITLE.

The Adamawa Emirate Council has stripped Umar Mastafa of the title “Mukaddas Adamawa ” which was conferred on him by the Emirate council.

A statement signed by the council’s secretary, Alhaji Muhammad Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha announced the disposition of the holder of the title of Mukaddas Adamawa on friday due to the outburst Umar Mastafa made over the presentation of SUV vehicles to royal fathers by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Finitiri.

According to the statement Lamido Adamawa, Alhaji Muhammad Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha said Umar Mastafa does not deserve to hold the title as a result of his deliberate attack on the Governor regarding the presentation of vehicles to first class traditional rulers in the state.

The Monarch expressed dismay over the attitude of some people who have refused to understand the good intentions of the government to traditional institution.

He noted that the institution had not benefited from such laudable gesture in a long time and wondered why some individuals are frowning at it when they are expected to support the government towards promoting peace building initiatives across the state.
