National Commission for Mass Literacy Gombe office, solicits media support

The National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-formal Education has expressed its readiness to partner with Radio Nigeria Jewel FM Gombe in publicizing its activities.
The Gombe State Coordinator of the Commission, Thauya Elkesa, made this known when he led the commission’s team on a courtesy visit to the station.
According to Mr. Thauye Elkesa, media organizations play a vital role in Informing the public on the current happenings around them, stressing that is why they deemed it necessary to partner with Jewel FM to inform people of their functions and activities.
While describing Gombe as one of the fortunate states to have the office of the commission in the North East region, apart from Yobe state, he solicited the State government’s maximum cooperation and support, as well as the entire community to discharge their responsibility diligently.
Responding, the General Manager of Radio Nigeria Jewel FM Gombe, Dr. Garba Ubale Dabatta, assured that the station is ever ready to partner with the Commission and other government agencies in promoting their activities in the interest of the citizens.
Dr. Garba Danbatta said all Radio Nigeria FM stations in the federation were established to educate and enlighten the general public on government policies and programs, as well as to convey the community’s call to the government, emphasizing that Jewel FM will not be left behind in discharging this obligation.
The General Manager encouraged the National Commission For Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-formal Education, Gombe State Office to feel free to catch up with the station and consider it as a partner in progress at all times.
