National Para-Sports Festival: Bauchi Sports Commissioner Commends Athletes for Outstanding Performance.

Bauchi State contingents have made unprecedented performance at the just concluded National Para-Sports Festival in Abuja.

The Team Bauchi has during the tournament recorded five Gold medals, five silver and thirteen bronze respectively.

The breakdown of the medals shows that the athletes won 2 golds, 1 silver and five bronze in para-athletics, 2 golds 2 silver and 4 bronze in Para-Rowing, while in Taekwondo the athletes gets 1 gold, and 1 silver.

Also the contingents claimed 1 silver and 4 bronze in para-table tennis.

This development placed the state as one of the best performing team in the tournament.

Reacting to the development, the state commissioner of Youth and Sports Development Alhaji Adamu Manu Soro expressed satisfaction with the commitment shown by the players.

Adamu Manu Soro said the improved performance shows that the state has restored it lost glory in areas of sporting activities.

” Am very excited with the way and manner our players performed, this has clearly shows that we are gradually coming up to regain our proper place” said Manu Soro.

Also Speaking, the Director, Bauchi State Sports Council Lawal Garba who also commended the athletes for the victory noted that they will resume training after Sallah break ahead of the future events.

” We are going to build on the success recorded at the just concluded festival by sustaining regular training to enable our players to be more stronger ahead of future task” the Director said.
