NDE Commences Training of 800 Unemployed Women Graduates in 8 states of the Federation

The national Directorate of employment NDE has reiterated it’s commitment in training women and youths different Skills Acquisition training,aimed at making them self relientand providing job apportunities to the teaming youths in the country.
The Director General of the Agency Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo stated this during the opening ceremony of the women Empowerment Collaboration Scheme Training for 50 Graduate unemployed women in Kano.
Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo,represented by the Head of Women Employment NDE Headquarters Madam Joyce Yarnab said the Agency was working tirelessly in ensuring that the challenge of Unemployment among women and youths was curtailed Nation wide.
He said the program was targeted at training 50 women from Kano,three different Skills with aim of ensuring that they became self reliant and employers of labour.
The Director General noted that the participants would be trained for ten days on food processing and packaging,Events Management and Make up making.
Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo maintained that the program was a pilot scheme,starting with eigtht benefitting states, they are Kano, Katsina, Nassarawa, Taraba, plateau, Enugu, Ogun,and Delta States.
“We discovered that with Advent of Covid 19 pandemic and insecurity challenges across the Nation ,alot of women have lost alot of Businesses , that’s why we came up with this integrated training of three traits put together,namely Food processing and packaging, make up And Gyale Tying, and interior Decoration ,for women to learn, and also to create more jobs opportunities”.
He added That fifty women would be trained in all the eight benefitting states.
Earlier the state Acting coordinator of NDE in Kano Alhaji Idris Sani Yakasai said the training aimed at fighting the menace of employment.
He noted that in the last thirty years NDE has introduced various programmes and innovations geared towards wiping away unemployment in all parts of the Nation.
He charged the Participants to make maximum Utilization of the Opportunity aimed at ensuring that the stated Goals were Achieved.
