NDE trains 100 youths Modern Agricultural Techniques in Kano

The Director General of the National Directorate of Employment NDE Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo has reiterated the commitment of the federal government to providing more job opportunities to the teeming unemployed youths in the country.

Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo disclosed this during the orientation ceremony and training of 100 participants on the sustainable Agricultural training scheme held in Kano.

Represented by the coordination of NDE in Kano Malam Abdulkareem Yahaya Sirika said , the program was inline with the federal government policy on Agriculture for Employment, Wealth Creation, food sufficiency as well as providing more portable farm income.

He said the target groups for the program comprise of all unemployed youths which includes school leavers , graduates of tertiary institutions, and people with special needs.

Malam Abdulkareem Yahaya Sirika maintained that the trainees would be trained in various aspects of modern agricultural production for three months, with two weeks experimental training in both livestock and crops.

He noted that the trainees were entitled to a monthly stipend of five thousand Naira each, for the duration of three months.

Malam Abdulkareem Yahaya Sirika urged the beneficiaries to make adequate utilization of the opportunity.
