NEDC, ATAP Concludes training of Private Security Operatives.

The three-day training organised by the North East Development Commission NEDC in conjunction with Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi for private security organisations has ended in Maiduguri.

The training programme is aimed at enhancing the capacity of registered private security to contribute their qouta towards ending insurgency and other criminal activities bedeviling the region.

Training officer of the programme, Malam Musa Yakubu said participants have been equipped with the rudiments of security operations.

According to him, with the emerging challenges, there is the need to update their knowledge to enable them tackle different forms of insecurity.

“The volume of training they recieved has encompass almost all that is required for them to understand the rudiments of how to tackle insecurity before, during and after any incident” Yakubu said.

Malam Musa Yakubu remarked that the volunteer security operatives will be exposed to more training programmes to strengthen the security architecture.

Two of the participants Usman Danjuma and Isa Adamu from 5-organs and Unimaid security services commended NEDC and Abubakar Tatari Polytechnic for training.

They promised to step down what they have learned to their colleagues to better their operations.
