The North East Development Commission, NEDC, has assured more developmental projects in Yobe State.

Chairman Governing Board of the Commission Major General Paul Tarfa (rtd), gave the assurance when he let the NEDC delegation on a courtesy visit to the Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni in Damaturu the State Capital.

According to Major General Paul Tarfa, rtd, the purpose of the visit is to inspect all the project sites in the state to a certain level of progress.

“The purpose of our coming is to visit all the project sites we have in the State to tell you how far we have done”.

General Tarfa explained that the commission will also liaise with the state on its areas of demand.

“This State will still demand with the commission in the areas of Palliative, Infrastructure, Education, Agriculture, or whatever that is why are “. The Chairman added.

Receiving the delegation, the Yobe State Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni, represented by his deputy Idi Barde Gubana, thanked the members of the commission for the visit.

While congratulating the Board and Management team for their reappointment by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, to run the affairs of the commission, Governor Buni commended NEDC for its loadable projects in the state.

“Am glad to note that North East Development Commission has invested massively in areas of infrastructural development like Houses, Roads, Classrooms, Laboratories, and the provision of Healthcare facilities and Palliative to vulnerable groups” Buni said.

He, therefore, expressed the Yobe State government’s readiness to render all the support and encouragement to the commission to enable its success in transforming the standards and conditions towards addressing the developmental challenges.

Governor Buni further urged the Board and Management staff of the Commission to ensure the full implementation of the master plan.
