NEDC Supports Bauchi State with Farming Machinery, Trains Over 200 Youth on ICT.

The Northeast Development Commission NEDC has trained over two hundred beneficiaries of the Commission’s ICT Resource Training Programme in Bauchi State and provided them with starter packs.

The Commission has also handed over Agricultural Machinery and inputs including tractors, planters and sprayers to the state government under the NEDC Agricultural Mechanization and Modernization Scheme.

Speaking at the Graduation Ceremony in Government House Bauchi the Managing Director of the Commission Alhaji Muhammad Goni Alkali said the graduands were provided with basic training in Graphics Design, Smartphone Repairs and Agricultural Skills among others with a view to promoting Human Capital Development in the state and northeastern Subregion.

He called on the state government to support the graduands in other areas and provide them with conducive environment to commence application of the knowledge acquired.

The State Governor Bala Mohammed represented by his Deputy Senator Baba Tela described the NEDC as a major stakeholder in provision of Infrastructural intervention not only to the state but the entire region.

Bala Mohammed who congratulated the beneficiaries for the successful completion of the training called on them to make us of the opportunity to became employers of labour.

Some of the trainees Yakubu Muhammed Sambo, Faiza Dahiru and Jamilu Sani appreciated NEDC for the gesture and promised to reciprocate the efforts towards moving the state and region forward.

High points of the event was presentation of certificates and starter packs to the beneficiaries.
