NEMA Commences Routine Food Distribution for over 35,000 families In Borno state.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has begun routine food distribution for over 35,000 Internally Displaced Persons in Borno state.
The benefitting IDPs are those residing in camps, host communities and liberated areas.
In a statement by the Principal Information Officer NEMA North East, Borno State, Abdulkadir Ibrahim said the Agency as part of it’s responsibly have been providing food items to victims of insurgency.
According to the statement, NEMA North East Zonal Coordinator Wagami Lydia is leading the food distribution team.
It adds that the food items were approved by the Director General NEMA Alhaji Mustapha Habib as part of the federal government’s efforts to support Borno state government In easing the hardship of IDPs displaced by insurgency.
Each household will get a ration consisting of food items which includes beans, rice,maize and condiments comprising seasoning, salt, tomato paste and cooking oil.
