Nigeria to Begin Rice Exportation Next Year- RIFAN.

Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria RIFAN has expressed confidence that by next year Nigeria would begin exportation of rice and other Agricultural Commodities.
This followed the introduction of series agricultural intervention Programmes by the Central Bank of Nigeria where a great number of small and large scale farmers across the country were benefited from the scheme.
Speaking at a two day CBN Sensitization Programme in Bauchi, the State Chairman Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria RIFAN Dr.Yahaya Adamu said through the support of the Federal Government, local farmers have been producing rice in commercial quantity noting that over twenty thousand rice farmers from the state have accessed CBN intervention which greatly improved their activities.
The Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria Godwin Emiefele represented by Acting Director Corporate Communication Department Osita Nwanisobi said the bank was determined to enhancing economic growth through supporting agricultural value chain from primary processing point to marketing stage.
He called on Nigerians to avail themselves with the various intervention initiatives of the CBN aimed at creating job opportunities and improving economy.
The secretary to the state government Ibrahim Muhammad Hashim who commended the CBN for the effort, maintained that the move would compliment the state government’s Economic Empowerment Programmes
